Delmon VS. Cuddles

Who cares? Did the Twins make the playoffs?? Yes, I wish I could say 3/4ths of the stuff running through my head, but I'd get banned. This discussions getting old. If it weren't for Cuddyer filling in at first, who knows where the Twins would be today, oh yeah, probably on planes back to their homes in other states. Common said it today best on his show, is it possible for one player to be the AL MVP, but his teamate being the teams MVP?? He has a point, Mauer might get it in the AL, but Cuddyers done AWESOME this year, both in the field and in the batters box. PERIOD.

Or how about this doosy, these are just some the reasons, some of us don't like Cuddles. It is way over the top man-love.

Loc: Truman, MN Sled, we can argue all we want, Cuddyer is 3 times better than Young. Period.

I have heard the "Young has potential" argument a million times, but have yet to see even a glimpse of his so called "potential" and as far as Delmon and his pre All Star break, he might as well stay home, he does absolutely nothing until the second half of the season. He was a #1 overall, and he is leaning more toward Ryan Leaf than Peyton Manning.

Of course you were out numbered 20-1 probably higher actually, you'd have to have been living in cave or had some sort of agenda not have voted or thought that way. It's still very high but Delmon has shown lately "finally" he can really hit that baseball.... I say trade him while his stock is sorta high maybe get a draft pick and minor leager for him....

If the Twins players voted on who should stay and who should go between the two it would be a unanimously in favor of Cuddyer!

11 walks and 90 K's... Cuddyer drew 5 walks in 2 games being patient and knowing how hot Delmon was behind him. That's nearly 50 percent of the walks that Delmon has in close to 400 AB's for the year.

Not to rip on Delmon because he's rockin the house, but can anybody confirm that strike-out to walk ratio is an all-time record? It has to be, the next closest to Delmon that I could find this year for a player striking out 90 or more times is 37 walks..... 11 walks thats impossbile... no wonder his on-Base Percentage is barely higher than his batting average. Thats probable a record also....LOZL!

Go Delmon we need ya big Thursday!

Quote me all you want, until a month ago he was horrible. As far as his OF skills, he still is. He sucks big time(every year) until the All Star break, and I am happy you Delmon lovers out here finally have a turd to polish. Don't rub my nose in it, Cuddyer is STILL, and always will be 5 times the player Delmon is, face the facts. Fishin, you are the biggest TJunk supporter on this earth, so to be quite honest, your takes to me mean nothing. I am going to put this to bed, once and for all- Delmon has had a good month, but Cuddyers had a great YEAR.

Come on PB and Zam....don't you know that we have man crushes on Cuddy...he could have hit .130 with 2 dingers and 12 rbi and we still would have thought he was the greatest.

We all have our opinions....and they really don't put too much money in out pockets. laughlaugh

I think PB put it on another thread, there are people that just like to post. 58 seems to be one of them. Not bashing him, or trying to bring him down. But I think he is a relative of Windy. crazy

One thing I have noticed about Delmon is now that he is producing it looks like the other guys on the team are welcoming him more and more when he gets back to the dugout. Like Harvey said, this is a team effort, and they are ALL coming together nicely.

What ULT Windy has a brother on here. laughlaughlaugh I ilke that one.

I am tired of the bashing between these 2 players. We know what Cuddy can do and we are hopefully seeing now what Young mr Young is capable of. Hopefully everyone contributes today including these 2 players.

GO GO TWINS KEEP THE PETER POSITIVE VIBS GOING......................

I say work out an agreement for the Dome to be a back up. You always should have a back up plan if you live in Minnesota. Thats why we have tents and covers and tarps and gun Cases and rain gear and such. April and October can be the pits for weather.

Overall, I think cuddy is better than young. Yes young is swinging a hot bat, but so is cuddy. Without them BOTH the twins probally would not be where they are.

My reason for cuddy being better.

-can actually make some big plays in the field /cover more ground

-can play any position

-better club house guy

-better fit in the twins / better attitude

-overall better ball player (AS OF TODAY)

Hopefully young will change his attitude and want to become a all star player and realize he could do it if he would put a little work into it. Hes got his bat going now lets see a litte more effort in the field.

Thats just What I think

Hope they both smoke the ball tonight Go TWINS!!

5-2 twins win

Pretty solid take HP.

Don't kid yourselves though we're home on the couch with-out Cuddys historic record setting HR and clutching hitting for the months Sept/Oct and more than likely still in this play-off if

Delmonds off pouting somewhere.

Lets's not kid ourselve that Cuddyer is only slighty better than Young at this point they only thing Young is better than Cuddyer in at this point is hitting or missing pitches that are way out of the strike-zone!

I've stated that several times and thats why I gave props to Delmon who has the worst strike out to walk ratio in the history of MLB his due in that lone category.

Delmon may be a Hall of Famer some day and if that happens I'll be the first to give him credit unlike the LAST remaining "not u fish58" Cuddy hater left in here....

Go Twins/Cuddy/Delmon!
