Great Shots Jay! That third grouse shot really does it for me!! It appears to me that the group of wolves are realated since they almost all have the same color pattern on their fur.

Panthrcat, this summer I have had more wolf sightings then I have seen through out my whole life. I have seen members of this pack quite often over the summer. This is the most wolves I have ever seen at one time. There were actually three others that had already crossed. I believe all the wolves in this shot are pups from this year, except for the bigger one that is the farthest back. From what I could tell there were 4 adults and 5 pups. I was hoping they would cross they highway and stay in the open for closer pictures but they all ran single file into the woods.

Spearing machine, I believe they are all litter mates, except for the one adult holding up the rear.

Terrific shots Jay, I was not expecting a six pack of wolves scrolling through the photos! Super detail and lighting on the grouse. I'd love to see wild wolves too, but there aren't any for hundreds of miles (yet, they're moving west).

Why did the wolves cross the road? To get to the grouse on the other side!
