Where to go for a weekend trail ride 2 1/2 hours from the metro?

just wondering where to go for the weekend. I was just at st. croix state park, it was ok. Will not go back for a weekend, just day trip. I was at nemadji a month ago and had a great time, i would do a weekend there.

just wondering what else it out there.

Was looking to find some good trails and some play areas with some mud!

Soo Line and Red Top Loop out of Isle MN. Ive ridden it a lot and its a pretty good time. There are a couple very cool mudholes back on the Red Top worth checking out. And its only a little over an hour from Hanover.

I would say go the extra half hour and go to gilbert and you can stay at the campground that is connected by the genoa trail

Hey, I am in Hanover too. I think we may be hitting up the Red top in Isle in the next couple of weeks. We've been up there once this year and it was a blast.

ya im thinking of goin sometime later in oct for a weekend my buds if it works out for everyone, i really like nemadji, seemed like it had the most miles. I would like to find something were you dont cover the same trails alot.

River Inn no longer exists. It was gutted out by a fire. Noticed that August 21st when I rode by there on the bike. Too bad. Great people and great food.

Try the Appleton OHV Park, about 3 hours west.

LEP7MM --- I drove by the river in ( DOWN TOWN HANOVER ) , its open and looks like they did not have a fire. Maybe you are talking about another river inn.???

Definitely no fire at the River Inn. I make it down there from time to time. LEP must be talking about a River Inn in a different city.

I saw the talk of Nemadji and River Inn and thought the River Inn that burned in Duquette.

Yeah it was Duquette. Its on Hwy 23 between Duluth and Sandstone. It was a great place. We went there every time we rode Nemadji. It really sucks that it's gone.
