Very cool! I saw a few in my yard last summer & was amazed at how far they can glide. One "flew" from the alley to the tree on the front boulevard.

Its about time you captured those little buggers.I've been waiting since last yer to see em.Have they cleaned the tree out? Or are still under the impression that their numbers are down?

Wade, the tree is getting cleanded out fast. I would guess 3/5 gone. The most I have seen at one time this year is 5 and that is about what I have seen in that past, this time of year that is. Saw one bounce off the tree the other night. Looked and sounded like it hit head first. It went down! But got right up and headed up the tree. Heard the owls for the first time in a long time the other night but have not found a squirl tail in the yard yet.

Vern, those guys can go aways. Move through the air fairly fast to. When they got a nut thats still in the shell like last pic, its the size of a golf ball, that shortents the flight a lot.
