Went to the Gopher game last night at the new TCF stadium. WOW is all I can say. They did a great job for the money they spent. The thing is amazing. There was maroon and gold everywhere. It was a great game and it was good to see the Gophers win the first one. Hopfully this is a big turning point for the program.

great looking stadium. maybe someday az state will build a new stadium, oh yea the asu president is more into building other colleges and then closing them.

They mentioned several times last night how TCF stadium lies North/South instead of the typical East/West.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but contrary to what they were saying and based on aerial photos, the stadium does lie more East/West.

Not getting the Big 10 network, and since TCF opened yesterday, I was a little miffed at the fact ESPN didn't broadcast the game. place looks beautiful and I figure they would get a national game like last weekend

? for you toughguy, in the 6th picture (the one of you in the bleachers) whats the deal with the seat backs? Are they there already or did people bring them?

I was in a corner section, with bench seating. Absolutely loved the leg room. I went to an Auburn/Florida game in Auburn, and we were cramped, and my knees were right into the backs of the folks in front of me. Not here. Tons of leg room, and they spaced the seats well enough that a wider person isn't squishing his neighbors.

My wife and I walked all over the stadium after. There isn't a bad seat in the house. I like the upper deck views. It's not like the Metro dome, where the highest level is sort of rediculous.

I'd take the top row upper deck between the 30's over my 19th row corner lower deck any day. But they're both good seats with good site lines.

If it's looking like rain, and you're buying individual game seats, go with lower deck, row 31 or higher. You'll have the upper deck, over your head!!!!

On the tour I took our guide says it lies northeast-southwest and from the presidents suite I would have to agree that it is more north/south then east/west.

You can rent the seatbacks for $40 per seat per season. There is a padded seat that flips up too. It is hanging down when not in use to keep it dry if it rains. They install the seats for you and they stay there all year.

I was down in row 1 around the 25 yard line. Really great night. That stadium is amazing!
