hole lights - are they a necessity??

I just bought a ice castle shell package. I am in the process of wiring. Just wondering about hole lights?

Just trying to get some thoughts regarding how important they are and reasons they are or are not important.

My house will be well lit without them, if it makes a difference.

thanks

i have been in some dimly lit houses and at night they would of helped see a bobber. if its well lit id say that would suffice, but hey they wouldnt hurt. and it would be better to do it now while constructing rather than later.

I use a night bobber even though I can see. It really helps when you are pre occupied and dont see the initial bite(which is when my boober goes down 90% of the time.) I can see this bobber even when Im not looking at it. Fun little winter walleye tool.

Mood lighting. wink

Seriously though, the hole lights can give off enough light to easily help you find your way around the house at night and they use little juice. Kinda like a night light. If the rattle reel goes off in the middle of the night it's nice to be able to flip them on to have a little more vision on what's coming up the hole. Sometimes later at night I would just use the hole lights while I watched TV and that was plenty to maneuver around the house if needed.
