Back when I lived in Souptown, I hit up Minnesuing quite a few times. There is a night ice bite. It is not consistent and it is VERY shallow. So shallow your chest wouldn't get wet if the ice gave way and you could stay standing on the bottom.

Same deal on Amnicon.

Fished ULSC Friday night with limited success, only picking off a few..

Ssaturday hit another local lake (I won't say exactly whcih one, because some dude already opened his yapper and told the world. This particular spot I fshed last year and hardly ever had company, this year...it was a zoo out there on Saturday (tickd me off), o well now ill have to find a new honey hole. At least I am pretty sure I out fished the other 15 people out there.

Sunday-went back and caught a few more----

Looking forward to another great weekend of fishing next weekend....

I feel your pain. I have been fishing a spot on ******y for years, and never had much company. . I would sneak over and pull a few Crappies when nobody was close. I recognized a truck on the spot last Tuesday. I went over and asked how he was doing. He said he had 22 Crappies in an hour. I asked him how he found the spot. He said a friend ( ****y) told him they were biting there. By Friday there were 6 shacks on the spot. Saturday and Sunday there were a lot more. Monday there were 9 vehicles . Yesterday there was only 1 shack, so the slaughter must be over. That sweet spot is done.

Inland lakes are the best I have seem them in a long time...Can travel just about anywhere...Its the access areas that may be tricky, but your trail blazer should not have any problems. Give me a call if you want some company pan fishin, we could bring my clam (2 seater)...later buddy...

Well tried the Luck out on some new (to me) bodies of water. Traveled down past the Minong Flowage and played Person, Crystal, and Bond, as well as some other favorites. Could not find a consistant bite anywhere, but did put a solid effort and tried. Weather did no favors. High-lite of the weekend: About a 30 somthing inch pike biting on my transducer in 30' FOW. Never seen that happen before, but did manage to hook him and play a little but it got off...Looking forward to next weekend.!.!

Crappies are biting on Namakagon. Lots of Crappies and very nice size. Lake is getting lots of pressure, but Crappies seem to be in 20 -25 ft. all over the Lake. I am giving Nebagamon a break. I know a few people who are still pounding that same spot near Boy Scout. Fishing has been spotty there, but they dont look for new spots. I am thinking that spot is about done.

Fished down in Polk County on Balsam lake on Saturday, caught some nice blue gillz for a good meal to be cooked later.

Sunday-Did Nebaggie the first part of the day. Miserable conditions, and only caught 1 crappie. Moved to Minnie later in the afternoon, and again only caught one crappie. although I marcked fish, I could not get them to bite...Im guessing the weather had a lot to do with it. As far as driving goes..SLUSHY-Nabaggie was okay but the access was getting beat up pretty hard. Minnie was real bad with numerous slush pockets that could easily get a vehicle stuck...Thats it for driving for me this year.

Fished Nebaggy yesterday from 1:30- 6:00. Caught 13 Crappies and 1 big Gill. Fished in 33 ft. of water to the East of Honeymoon Point.Crappies were coming through at 25-28 ft. Fished the same spot from 8:00-11:30 today and caught 1 small Crappie. Crappies caught yesterday on white/pink Marmooska with Glow Nuggie plastic.

Finally a great weekend of catching.....

Fished down by Gordon Wascott area (?) Had a rough time getting fish to bite, but marked em all day. Then at about 6:30 explosion of business. Caught countless fish for about an hour (crappies). Let em all go! It was fun though....

Did nebaggie Sunday, and again had a tough time getting them to bite. when we got out there it was just 2 guys and my friend Austin and I. Then around 1 or so the calvary came out. We picked up and decided to explore, and boy I am glad we did. We found a nice area where fish were consistantly being graphed. Stillgraphed more then we could catch, but at about 5 or so, they decided to turn on again. Some real nice ones too....

Cant wait until next weekend again.....but Ill probably try and get out after work once or twice....

Saturday-Went out to a lake by iron-river and straight up pounded fish. They were jumping out of the hole. I caught crappies on plain hooks they were so hungry. Also caught some big bull blue gillz to boot. By far the best day of ice fishing for this guy all season..Finally caught a limit. It was so nice getting to a nice body of water and having the lake all to ourselvs. . . I wonder how many people hit nebaggie? Cant wait til next weekend, might try the Brule for the first time this year.! Might be done with the ice fishin stuff.......nah never mind. Still lots of nice ice, but caution should be taken!

Well first weekend of no fishing for this guy. Was super busy with other stuff going on. Word is, ice is deteriating at a fast rate, and ice out should be just around the corner. Brule is heating up, but there is a lot of traffic down there. Plan on getting the ice gear cleaned and stored away. You should see the slime on my jacket/shack/gear. Slower ice fishing season than last year, but ended on a high note...

Plan on getting the boat cleaned up and running this week or next. Bring on the lakes!!!!

2nd Weekend without fishing-Think I am going through withdrawels. At least the lady at home is happy that I am spending some time with her. We had a suprise birthday party for her at Rapids on Friday. It was very fun...Well time to get the boat ready, and re-string, and re-organize the tackle box. Should be on the open water sometime this week, although the weather looks bad. Looking forward to it though!!!

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
