Catmendo
I stumbled upon this juvenile ground-hog as it was stuffing it's face with dandelion leaves...cute little guy! Next I spotted this young hawk which I believe to ba a Cooper's or maybe a Swainson's. Turkey Vultures were cooperative as usual. To bad about the shadows on this waxwing! dockothebay
What a great series Stu, I like them all. I think the waxwing is my favorite - the shadows really don't bother me - in fact they kind of mimic his eye stripe and give me the feel of warm morning sunlight (which we haven't had here for nearly a week!) micpic
I had a ground hog when I was a kid, but had to get rid of him. He was always going over and sitting on the neighbors porch freaking out the lady of the house.Your BOP pics are great as usual. I have a large Cooper's which I suspect is a female trying to latch on a chipmonk about every day this week. She crashed into the screen door Wednesday but did'nt get hurt.Your Waxwing is nice even with the shadows. Great color.Mike

finnbay
Great hawk shots, but I still like the waxwing the best!
