zamboni
I am predicting LA vs Phillies. I know out on a limb there, huh? I do have to say the Cubbies have a better chance at coming back from an 0-2 hole than the Brewers do. WS- Tampa VS Phillies
Gary Crichton
Wow, all 3 teams are hurting. By the end of the weekend, all 3 midwest teams may be gone. I think it might be a LA vs LA World Series.G.C.

Coach Dog
Me too. The sympathy garbage for the Cubs is (and always has been) so old. It would be cool to see Joe Torre win it all. "George is getting upset!!!"
Mudcutter
SO true on the Cubs.. The reason the franchise is the way they are is because of the happy-go attitude and the sympathy card. It's almost like they expect to lose,, becasue they are the Cubs. I really think this is true from management, to the broadcasters to the fans. And I will never buy the idea that this 2008 Cubs has nothing to do with the other 99 years. Physically they don't, that's obvious. But mentally they do,,, they looked like the defintion of "deer in the headlights" after Loney's Grand Slam. you can't tell me that after things go wrong, really wrong,, they start to wonder about olde Billy, and ONCE that happens-- IT's time for next year. Gary Crichton
99 years is a LONG LONG time. Maybe they should combine both teams and go from there. This way only 1 heartbreak and not 2...G.C.

snoozebutton
My picks TB vs LA Dodgers If my Brewers don't make it, I wouldn't mind seeing that match up. Tampa has a good young team and they're fun to watch.

Mudcutter
Year after year-- this is the problem with this team. It will continue for alot longer with guys like Soriano striking out with a ball in China.SO true on the Cubs.. snoozebutton
I'm not quite that confident. If it ends up the Phils and Dodgers, I'll take the Dodgers though.

Do you chase inside straights often! LMAO>

zamboni
I am hoping it is the Phillies year, I was a huge fan of theirs in high school, and the year I graduated (1993) broke my heart. If not, I want to see the Rays do it.
