Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

KOTC upgrade....finally!

Recommended Posts

First KOTC upgrade for me in 7 weeks. It is not a monster, but it's 3.5 more points. I'll take anything after that stretch of dinks! This was the big one of the night, otherwise just 1 more smaller fish (7-8 lbs) and a couple missed hooksets and a hit and run or two. Thanks for going out Darren and JJ. JJ, we'll get you on a fish someday...I feel bad, that's 3 outings with me and nothing but a 6 lb sheepshead.

40x24, 26 lbs.

thanks guys. the mid-twenties is a great ice breaker, for what will hopefully be a big one on friday.

i usually wear whatever shirt i was wearing at work when i go fishing. reduces the laundry workload that way. usually that is a random polo shirt.

No way, that was just a warmup so that I knew what something bigger than 10 lbs felt like again. It's been so long, I didn't want to wait til friday and then freak out when I had the mambajamba on the line.

Friday's fish will be at least 30 lbs for each of us. I would suggest that we need to bring some food for refreshments, as we'll be tired from reeling in the big ones. I'll give you a call tonight and we can work out the details of where to meet and when and what to bring, etc...I'm stoked. KOTC-greenification and BPCL-moneyfication all in one night, I can smell it.

    • My brother and his friend shot two birds yesterday in Wisconsin in the snow.   I will be leaving for SD next week Wednesday.   Local city birds were out and about with some strutting just before our big snow storm here, haven't seen them since.
    • MN DNR regulations only say the largest size to use is #4.   So #9 should be legal.   From what I have read on the turkey forums I follow where lots of guys pattern test shells, the TSS loads in #7 do not perform as well as the previously best loads (for 20 gauge) which is Federal Heavyweight #7.  Unfortunately Federal stopped making the HW shells when they switched to TSS.   The few guys who have found TSS in stock in #9 though are reporting very impressive patterns though, far superior to TSS #7.
    • Enough of the suspsense AS. We need the story!
    • I also missed!  Thinking late may be the key to success.  The early bird gets the worm, but I get the bird:-). I’ll PM... hopefully.
    • I wont get out till Sat morn we shall see how it goes
    • Yikes! I think I see a gobbler track in the mud right before that blood trail starts. Hope everything turned out positive. Looking forward to pics.
    • I thought I would add some pictures. This is a 2013 frame from CW welding I believe. Yours might be a little different if it is from a different frame company. I started by blocking the house up and I removed the tire. The first time I ever did this their was almost no grease on the pivot at all. I bought this frame from a salvage auction after the house burned down. I am not sure if they did not grease it enough the first time or the grease got hot and ran out when the house burned down. This time when I took it off plenty of grease was still on the pivot and I could have got by another year without greasing it.   You can see the bolt you need to remove on the outside of the pivot.  Then cut the zip tie off to pull out the extra wire.  The whole arm will then slide off if you leave slack in the cables. I put a floor jack under the hub to make it easier. Then clean everything up and grease it.
    • Beautiful bird there Wallydog. Congrats
