Microwave walleye?

Recommended Posts

Done right it's very good. Put olive oil on each side of fillet and season as you like. Cover....don't over cook. Great option that I will use when I come in from fishing and want a lunch that is quick to prepare and quick to clean up so that I can get back on the water. It's also the perfect way to cook fish to make fish tacos.

Yup...and cod, pollock, etc. I sprinkle with dill weed, couple dabs of butter, and I do it in a glass dish, covered with plastic wrap. Basically steamed fish. Moist and flakes nicely...BUT, you really have to watch you don't overcook it. I do prefer broiled or batter-fried, though.

Son, that is like cooking a steak well done........don't even go there. If you want to keep it minimal with cooking, here is My college days recipe:

Thick frying pan at a med high temp

finger chuck of butter, drizzle of olive oil

season the fillet with salt and pepper or whatever seasoning

Cook till brown on both sides

Fry up a box of dirty mexican rice

You can always caramelize some onions to go on top of that. If you worked that hard to catch a walleye, take the time to make that a memorable meal!!!
