bait for minnows

i was just wondering if anybody could tell me what i could use for bait to get more minnows to come into my trap. thanks for the help.

I use a pice of bread smashed into a tight ball and set that into the trap. I have heard others use dry dog or cat food also but I havent tried that.The bread works good enough for me.

I think the key is location. I put two traps about 50 yards apart in a drainage ditch. The one at the end where a tile enters in was full of minnows, the other one 50 yards away had nothing in it.
