night bite
Mix equal parts mayo and western dressing. Then dice some pickles and pour a little pickle juice and lemon juice. Mix together and enjoy.
McGurk
Real simple, and maybe not your cup o' tea. This is what we have used lately, especially for but not limited to fish tacos:Put desired amount of HELLMANS mayo (no M Whip for us EVER) in a bowlAdd Lime juice to taste, and stir (I like it real lime-y)If it's too thick, add milk to reach desired consistency (We like it pourable) Pour onto fish or onto fish tacos. (softshells, diced cabbage, shredded cheddar, salsa, fried fish, and mentioned sauce)Won't go back to store-bought tartar again.
Jim Uran
I know I'm gonna hear it from the culinary experts on this one but I use Mayo and Ketchup 50/50. Sounds like that big dummy's special sauce in the movie Step Brothers.. lol!!!
rocstar
Homemade much better than store bought. All the above sound good. The old standby is miricle whip, sweet pickel relish, a dash of lemon juice. But try my secret ingrediant... Add some dill weed.
Sabaskong
Tried Chef's recipe tonight and everyone loved it. I didn't have any ketchup so used Heinz 57 instead.
