so barb, what did all the rain do to the snow.... and ice on the small lakes up there? buffalo, hmmm. not far from cold spring.

Not sure about the ice, there is a lake just south of me that has so much water on top it looks open. I have enough water in my driveway to start sandbagging. Everything around here is pure mud. I know the moisture is good for the lakes, but with the ground frozen it is not doing much for my yard. I want old man winter to quit fooling around and send us some nice warm weather so we can move on to open water fishing!!!! I have a brand new duck pond behind my propane tank.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone.

We have a ton of family coming in from all over, and have been sharing in all the good memories of my mother in law. She was confined to a wheelchair due to the progressive form of MS, and for the last 10 years she couldn't even feed herself. She was admitted to a nursing home nine years ago at the age of 59. She kept a positive attitude throughout her life, and was a great influence on all who came in contact with her. We all know she is in a better place, and for that we rejoice.

I don't want to be a downer, but my mother in law passed away yesterday morning. We are waiting for all the relatives to arrive for her Saturday funeral. Fortunately, all three of her children and her husband were with her within the last few hours.

I have been coming to FM to help put me in a better frame of mind. It beats pacing around, anyway.
