MARINERMAGNUM
Was home sick today [foodborn intestinal dispute] and the weather sure did stink. Super fine mist all day long, and dark and depressing. I think winter has lasted 9 months now. I went out looking for new migrants and saw some Mergansers so things will pick up soon. We have alot of Robins around now and I saw 2 of them trying to build a fire. Water soaked nature is all I could get a shot at,but taking photos of anything is fun! I forgot that I still had the 2X teleconverter on my lens until after I'd left, and didn't have any caps along so I left it on-it sure is versatile and I don't think it hurts IQ too bad if you hold still. These were at F5.6,1/80th sec.,handheld, iso 500,@600mm,Sraw1 Wonder why birds won't eat these? Cropped a little

Paul
Weather her is really bad. I was even called and told to stay home all day by my work. Both Moorhead and Fargo have pulled city plows, I-94 closed from Jamestown to Alex, I-29 closed From Canada to South Dakota. This was the seen out my window about noon today. I ended up going out with my tow rope and dragging the avalanch off my 4' deep burm and dragged my neighbors car out of his driveway so we could blow the snow with the snow blower so he could get into his driveway. No one was hurt but his escort is all but totaled after getting rear-ended/sidewiped by a 6000 lb Avalanche.

Birdsong
I love these. Makes me wish I had gotten out there! The background colors are wonderful. The birds do eat the highbush cranberries after they have frozen and thawed many times. Usually well into spring.
