To get it or not to get it

Right now I am debating on whether to buy a target bow or not...It is a Martin Cougar 3 with sunburst coloring...there are no marks on it and it's an 03 model. There is shootthrough strings in yellow and orange...any opinions?

I am a firm believer in adding to the stable. One good bow deserves another. If you will shoot it, buy it, if you wont, dont.

I shot it on sunday...i've never really shot a target bow so didn't know "what felt good"...to me i liked it all except the strings vibrated alot because there are so many of them...but they said that is normal...great offer...dont know if i can pass it up

Keep shooting that new Mission so you'll be comfortable come fall. Use the saved cash on a new target or decoy.

Don't know if you should buy it or now. But I was at the range one time when a guy was shooting a Olympic style target bow and my teeth rattled when he shot it! Can't beleive that a bow that made that much noise and had to have major handshock would be that accurate shot after shot. I would think it would shake itself and the shooter apart after time?

...the thing is a got targets out the wazoo and dont like the whole decoy thing...id rather poke one without a decoy...besides if it was a buck and decided to mutilate the decoy id be out 300 where as a could have a bow forever

Alright... well put the cash towards a Lone Wolf tree stand or one of the new HSS safety vests. Both quality investments. If Dietz sees this post you'll tell ya to buy the bow, no question about it

I you can swing the cash, and you think it would be fun, buy it.. Its not like its going to loose much value. If you find that you dont use it or like it after a couple months, just sell it. You can never have too many bows tho

I decieded to pass the cougar up and ended up buying a Martin Phantom 2. It fit me alot better. I decided to pass up the target bow in the mid season just to see if i would really like target shooting and wanted to get more serious. Well I am hooked beyond reason. I'm an archaholic and had to buy it. I've been shooting the my new bow alot and its great. It is bright red with red flames and black limbs. Shoot through string that are red and black. I will get around to posting pics soon

Nice shooting for sure.. my best is a 300 58X which I have done 3 times..

So how many arrows in a game to get 360? I know NFAA is 60 with 5 points for a white and then a X count.. is your league giving more for a 6 for an X? which would give 360?

Ya you get 60 arrows but the X counts as 6 points. So if you shot 60 x's (6's) you would shoot a perfect 360
