I went out with my 7 year old son tonight to fish for some bullheads to use as flathead bait. We didn't catch a single bullhead, but we ended up catching this PB channel cat! 33 x 18. I landed her after a 12 minute fight on 6lb test line. Guess what we were using for bait? Answer below.

Answer: Wheat Chex cereal!

Got this one Sunday.. Fishing was a bit slower then normal but still fun.

My PB 28" 9lbs I release it as well. Did catch a tagged cat but couldn't get the black and green gunk off to get the numbers on the tag. Someone else can catch it and try lol. Stink bait works the best in this area, but only a certain brand.

That is a very Porky Piggy for July.

Traditionally late August and especially September tends to produce the real sumo's...this one started early it would appear. I think it will be a heavy duty fall up North this year.

Cut creek chub has been my bait of choice the past week, and I've been everywhere from P2 in St Paul all the way over to Morton on the MN.

Caught this fish on cut bullhead. Fish went 28 and a half and weight some where around 8 or 9 pounds (my scale is hard to read at times).
