tritonman
I think BNS meant points for fantasy fishing. A lot of guys will be suffering right along with KVD i'm affraid. I have him on my roster.
TonkaBass
Is it just me or was Bernie Schultz a little harsh on the girl??? He did an interview and basically ripped on her on one of the most important days of her life. Although I guess I never did hear how she qualified for the classic, does anyone know? OLY
Alot of the guys did not agree with her fishing. She qualified by winning the wbt wich only fishes a few events and doesnt have that many participants. I dont know the exact numbers, but it is no where near what the men have to go through to qualify and that was what Bernie Shultz and others were alluding to in their interviews. frogtosser
she won the womens angler of the year, thats how she got in, not from the womans classic, alot of guys were mad cause she didnt have the competition they have to make it into the classic. the other anglers were saying that she didnt belong there this morning, I was kinda suprised they said that right into the camera. But she didnt do very well over all and missed the cut.

Fluker
lookincali - It's no where close to the same thing. Here is a Fed angler road over a 2 to 3 year span. 1) Qualify for their state / zone tournie. 2) If zone tourney, qualify for state. 3) Qualify for Divisionals (12 of 200+) 4) Qualify for Championship (best in your state basically) 5) Qualify for classic. (Best out of 7 to 9 states in your division).Basically the road above narrows a field of 20,000+ down to 6 individuals. The WBT AOY has to be AOY in her league. I'm not saying that that isn't an accomplishment, because it is. But can ANYONE fish in her league? No, females only. Can anyone fish the Opens? Yes. Can anyone fish the Federation? Yes.Can Kim Bain fish? You bet she can. Am I glad she's there? Yes, very glad it was her because she's a very good reflection of the sport. I think it will prompt more daughers to fish, or more Dad's to take them.Based on qualification, does she deserve to be there? That's what the guys were answering. I don't think they have anything against Kim, just the road on how she got there.
Muddog
A 3/8 oz green football jig on spawning beds. Who would figure. That is something all us Minnesotans can put to uses. Green for Bass? My head is spinning!
TonkaBass
I hear you there Fluker and agree 100%, I just don't think that bernie schultz should have said that he doesn't think females should be able to compete in the classic. TonkaBass
At least Boyd Duckett handled it a little better than Ike when he lost his fish. Lol, I don't know how I would act if I broke one off in that important of a tournament. It sure is some awesome looking areas they're fishing though.
