If you look into Jeff Kent a little bit more, he doesnt get along with ANYONE.

Maybe true, but he gets into the HOF on his first crack on the ballot. Guaranteed. Decent glove and all time 2nd baseman HR hitter. Its a lock.

ps if you couldnt tell im a bit of a bonds fan. Which is funny because i hate sosa and big mac. Funny thing about sosa he was tiny then got huge then testing became big and his number when down the tube there it is very clear he was probably roids like brett boone, he had big numbers then testing came. Big mac all he would say is im not here to talk about the past come on thats like pleading the 5th. But ill stick to my orginal statement none of them tested postive so can touch their records.

haha yea, walt disney was a nazi or hated Jews or something and his whole company is based for families and kids, i guess my point is everyone has a dark side, if he doesnt like white people that stinks but oh well, i dont think we should hold stars, and athletes as these wonders that are perfect, its pretty obvious they are not, Ray Lewis supposably killed a dude, Michael Phelps smoked weed, Pete Rose bet on some sports, TONS UPON TONS of stars are hooked on meth, crack etc. I guess there should be a point do we judge them as a person or as a movie star/athlete? It pretty obvious that hall of fame voters judge as a person first then an athlete second or else Pete Rose would have been in the hall years ago and Big Mac probably would be in as well by now.

Wow,

I guess we now have the answer. I guess I see things a little different and tend to like the people I like in sports. Don't much care for any of those listed for many of the reasons listed. I like to judge a man on his character not just his athletic ability but I fully support your right to do so! I guess guys like Big Mac, Rose and Bonds are lucky that I don't have one of the HOF ballots because they would not get my nod!

Know the topic is bonds, but re: Big Mac IMO that guy roided up. Look at him when a rookie to when he retired, the guy exploded, and had a lot of those coincidental roid like problems with his joints going out etc etc. I don't think Big Mac is HOF worthy, power #'s, but low avg don't think he ever hit .300, and average fielder.

Bonds has #'s and gold gloves, MVPs, may be an admitted jerk but admits he is kind of a jerk. I am sure there are other guys in the HOF with racist thoughts that just never went public

I dont like Big Mac at all him or sosa, those two made me so mad when they were on their homer years, mainly because i was a Griffey fan he would bomb out 50 dingers and they wouldnt even mention him because those two. Plus he has never once been mentioned when steriods have been brought up, he would have been the homerun king if he stayed healthy

A decision on the federal prosecutors' appeal in the Barry Bonds perjury case might not come for another year and a half, according to the official statistics of the federal courts.

The Administrative Office (AO) of the federal courts, which is the Elias Sports Bureau of the court system, says that the median time to complete an appeal in the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit -- where the Bonds case appeal will be argued and decided -- is 19.4 months.

That timetable would have a decision coming down in September 2010.

Prosecutors appealed a ruling from U.S. District Court Judge Susan Illston, asking the higher court to reverse the order and allow them to present at the trial three positive drug tests, drug calendars and ledgers that Illston barred as evidence. The appeal resulted in a postponement of the trial, which was to have begun with jury selection March 2.

The 9th Circuit Court, which is located in San Francisco, is the slowest of the 13 appeals courts in the system. The median time for an appeal throughout the entire system is 12.7 months.

That means the 28 judges on the 9th Circuit bench, on average, take more than 50 percent longer than their colleagues in the rest of the nation.

The fastest and most efficient operation in the system is the 4th Circuit Court, located in Richmond, Va., and home of the notorious "rocket docket" that handled the Michael Vick dogfighting case in 2007.

The median time it takes the judges in Richmond to complete an appeal is only 8.4 months, less than half the time required in San Francisco.

The prosecutors in San Francisco filed their notice of appeal on Friday, the first step in the process that is measured annually by the AO. After filing the paperwork accumulated while the case was pending before Illston, the next step in the process is a government brief that is due on June 1 of this year.

The Bonds legal team must file its brief by July 1, and the government is then permitted to file a reply brief by July 17.
