New Bow

So i have been thinking more and more about getting a new bow, my gf has shown interest in bowhunting so it gives me an excuse to upgrade a bow after 9 years. I have looked at a bunch and seem to change my mind a lot. Im looking at spending $400 maybe reach to $500 but i think 400 would be tops. Any suggestions?

Was at GM this weekend in Woodbury and they had older model BEAR bows on clearance. They also had a sale of 30% off all clearance bows baking THE TRUTH bow quite a steal. I was looking at this bow in November, but ended up buying a Diamond Black Ice. Both were sweet bows though.

I think it was below $350... not totally sure. Maybe give the GM near you a call and see if they have one. Otherwise call the Woodbury one. They had a few in stock. Let me know what you go with. I will keep my eyes open for some other deals.

I know its a little...ok a lot more expensive but if you can afford it the Iceman or black ice by diamond are absolute dreams to shoot...if i could afford it i would buy it for sure. But i'll probably keep on shooting my bear for another 2 or 3 years. Bear is another good line that is pretty easy on the wallet. I personally shoot the code and have had very few problems...besides mental ones shooting at deer. lol

If it was me I would look at some of the top of the line bows that retail close to a grand, but find a nice used one that is 2-3 years old. A lot of people upgrade all the time to have a latest and greatest so you might as well take advantage of them and save some $$$ on a really nice bow.

I would suggest trying as many bows that you can in your price range. I have done this this winter and I am set on the Martin Moab. Awesome shooting bow and fast for a single cam. If I can afford it when I go to get my bow I might go with the Martin Firecat. I will have to do some more side work as of right now tho. Don't get brainwashed into the top name bows. They all have great bows now. Some just feel better to the users. Good luck!
