muc33
If I had a dime for every time I needed my inhaler after drilling holes in my hard house because of the high level of nasty fumes, I would be rich. If I had a quarter for every time I forgot to take my power auger out of the truck at night and had to pull start it while feezing cold and making my shoulder feel like Jello, I would be even richer. Well those days are done. Now if you are like me, you have been skeptical of breaking tradition. Heaven forbid you ever think you can easily get rid of your tried trusted and true power auger. Well, I went through every one of those thoughts, and believe me, I wondered if I was going to regret making this decision. Well, I can't say I feel any type of regret at all. As a matter of fact, I feel nothing, but joy... and have clean lungs, and have a shoulder that doesn't hurt from 10, 7, 5, maybe even only 2 pulls, because I didn't pull a string at all yesterday.... I pushed a button, and I cut through 20 inches of ice in mere seconds, I have an Ice Gator!!! Chose your favorite auger bit, just get rid of the gas. Go chipper, or shaver.... black, red, or blue, IT DOESN'T MATTER.I can assure you my inhaler can be saved for another day, my shoulder can be in top shape for hook sets, and I can make some swiss cheese on lakes all over Minnesota, Iowa, Canada, Michigan, Wisconsin and on any lake in the Dakota's. It never got above zero yesterday and guess what????? I never had to choke it once!!!Ice Gator Auger, check them out today and take a chance, make a change, and enjoy clean lungs, un-sore shoulders, always starting on first push, blazing speed cutting, and hole after hole power, of an Ice Gator auger, with a bit of your choice you can cut hole after hole after hole after hole, no more smelly fumes, no oil stained coat, no more gas dripping on your portable or in your vehicle, and best of all, you can have it all, for a great price! Ice Gator, stop by and meet my toothy friend! I will be happy to let you try him out! we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted January 26, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted January 26, 2009 If you own a permanent the Ice Gator is the bomb daddio. Not only do you have instant power and no fumes but it has reverse so you can push the shavings under the ice for a much cleaner hole almost ready to fish. Eric Wettschreck
I'll admit that I was skeptical at first. How can anything battery powered be as good as 2 stroke internal combustion powered was my thought.I thought wrong. I had a chance to see the Ice Gator in action over the weekend and I'll repeat what I said on the ice, "I'm impressed."

outdrzman78
How does it work for redrilling the holes in the perm. Plenty of power? Thanks Joe
hovermn
With the Ice Gator, you buy the powerhead, then put your own auger bit on. Redrilling holes will be dependent on what type of auger you're using. The powerhead isn't part of the equation.I plan on buying one of these puppies as soon as the funds become available! I have a wheeled house, and I'm getting tired of the fumes. Being able to preheat the house before heading to the lake, then keeping the windows closed while drilling is like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! muc33
I happen to own both a chipper blade head and a shaver blade head so I have the ease of using either, the chippers seem to reopen holes better, but with that shaver bit on, my gator cuts like a hot knife to butter! Reopening with the chipper is almost effortless, but doesn't do an initial cut as fast. Still I have NO fumes, No sore shoulder, and NO big slush hole to clean out. Hit the reverse at the bottom and the hole is practically clean right off the bat!
castmaster
I'll definitely be buying one when they come out with the model to turn a 10" auger.
hovermn
And if they come out with that Model, I'll stick my 8" bit on it Man I wish I had the cash for one right now. Even with the season coming to a close, I'd pick one up in a heartbeat if I could!

Big Buck Buster
Something inside shorted, and burnt the switch out. The first one that they have seen do that, they said. Not a big deal, they repaired it under warranty, and sent it back fast.
