Im actually not counting down to the season opener... but more of counting down to when it'll be 60 degrees or warmer and the snow's all melted away then that means I can work on my boat... and sooner I finish the boat, sooner my season opener will come...

I wasn't gonna do a KY trip this year since i'm trying to save up for a new'ish boat, it's not looking good.... laugh

Jeff looks like you will just have to take a "business" trip to madison in early May.

going to do the ky thing again this spring - 10 days ending with a pmtt win is what i have in mind right now.

sd has some stocked lakes that are fairly underfished - been to one three times no with poor reports. did release a smally that would have pushed sd state records...... thinking a fall pheasent/musky trip may trip things in my favor out there this year.

Natural no, they are all stocked and yes everything remains open year round. The only exceptions are for paddlefish and fishing in some streams and rivers, but then it's only closed from March 1st till May 31st. I believe there's a few other exceptions but you'll have to go the the SD game fish and parks page and look for yourself to get all the info on it.
