jigglestick
Though young in his fishing career, this is Andrew, a.k.a. Scroungie's biggest crappie to date.with literaly hundreds of red lake slabs and numerous random honorable mentions under his belt, he made it clear to me that this fish was going on the wall.he will likely, ever so politely rub it in to the old man each time I swing and come up with a near miss of his lofty benchmark.Brat

Jim Uran
Had a blast last night, the fish were a little tough to find though but once I did they were super aggressive. Found them over 16 feet of water roaming half way down the hole.
Shack
Nice fish Leech. Greg those pics are awesome. Scongie that is a respectable and huge crappie congrates to you and your dad (Scongie for the fish & Dad for having a fishing kid like Scongie) I always hook up with a monster slab this time of year if I put in the effort. Been out three times this week and all I have is video of huge red bars right up at my jig but nothing up the hole. Around the north metro they are biting extremely light when I actually get them to bite and they're the finikiest as I have ever seen them for the temps and time of year. Presentation, all big and no name jigs, meat, worm, no meat, micro plastics and even swapping out spools to 2lb red line and even tried 6b mono clear for fun and giggles has not worked. Aggressive jiggin even, no jig deadstick, wait till they come up next to, stop and what ever. If you just deadstick and even flick the line with your finger they swim off. We have been fishing after work mainly after sunset. We are finding the fish but none of them are active. Figure that is just the way it is this week around here. Just keep on hitting and again tonight we are heading out. Seeing the slabs in here keeps me going. This will be the last weekend I am sure. Just have been lucky with the low temps and the snow cover. Sunday evening and Tues evening it was making ice cause it was loud and cold. Just not sure if it is enough to recoup what is lost during the day. Especially since we have moisture in the forecast and 50 deg.

Scott M
Nice Gill Chad! Gotta love it when you can thumb them! Great photos from everyone. I'm sad to say I put away the ice gear today. You can't plank it in southern Minnesota anymore. We'll be open by next weekend. If I can sneak away I might try some bobber fishing in the next few weeks but I know my work schedule will pick up.
