You better bet your bottom dollar grin! Very nice map and lake (byllesby) grin I think I counted a total of 3 boat ramps, the most structure is on the East side.

The websites for LakeMaster and Navionics both have lists of the lakes on their map chips.

The H2O is nothing fancy but it is a solid performer geared to fisherman. When you consider its low price (by electronics standards), its solid performance, and just how beneficial it is on the ice in the boat and in the vehicle, it's got to be one of the top "best money I ever spent" things in most guys' collections of outdoor gear.

Garmin makes some really nice gps units with some really nice features. They are great units, no question about it. The extra features come with a higher price tag though, but now that Garmin has their own proprietary version of the LakeMaster chip you will see more Garmins out there.

Lowrance and Garmin are both user friendly with pretty easy menus to follow. I don't think it'd take you long to pick up on either of them. I think Lowrance might be easier though just because there's fewer menu options to choose from.....but I'm more familiar with Lowrance because I have them in my boat too and a lot of the menu items are the same between the fixed mount gps and the handheld gps.

The Expedition comes with some additional features or capabilities you don't get with the H2Oc. If you click on the link to the Expedition C and look under the heading Unique Features, the first 4 bullet points are the differences between the Expedition C and the H2OC.

I really like the XOG, but I have heard with the Navionics chip, you can zoom in to only a 100'. With out the chip and basic maps installed on the XOG, you can zoom in to about 12'.

Is this true? grin

thanks jim lol..or can we call ya dave? i just ordered up one of those expedition c's from your store along with a navionic chip.

i went back and forth between the two and decided them extra features were worth the extra $20.

can't wait to test out my first gps unit...how long on average does a guy have to pace around for before he gets his new toys?

Not to Hijack the thread, but while we are on the subject. What is the main difference between the Garmin 76Csx and the 60Csx. Which one that people have experience with would you recommend? I would be getting the Lakemaster chip for either unit.

I might be missing something, but I believe the 76 and 60 are essentially the same units in different casings??? and the info for the 76 says that it floats.

It seems like many features or details like screen size, resolution, # of waypoints, battery life, weight, etc. is the same between them. Both have the high-sensitivity receiver and will take an external antennna.

You can see and compare the 76CX and 60 CX HERE if you want.

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
