I have caught just about every species of fish in Minnesota and I will have to say that the best fighters are the Lake Sturgeon that live up in the Rainy system. I have caught flatheads up to 48 pounds.....but even a 25 pound sturgeon is a whole different ball game. A 50 or 60 pound one will spool you before you can count to ten if you aren't prepared. Not to mention they jump like smallies.....
