Has anyone rigged up their boat with lights to try this at night?

I have a good friend in Rochester who has a boat and we bowfish a lot...but really have no idea where to start to try this at night.

I've shot carp at night in Texas out of a boat....the guy ran flood lights off of a generator. Put out plenty of light...really LOUD though.

I wonder how that noise would affect carp if you were just sitting in the weeds waiting?

Going to try one guy holds spotlight/runs trolling motor and the other guy shoots. If we end up doing good at night then I will rig up some better lights.

I'll be running 5 300 watt halogens off a generator this year. Havent tried it out yet but it should do for now. Probably like everything else it will be something that keeps growing over time.

Sounds like we have a guy in our group with a honda generator, and I have some lights to use. Some 100-200 watt flood lights on tall painting stands should work ok.

Gotta remember light is reflected, the lights need to be high and pointing down.Once ya try it you'll make adjustments. The boats I've been in with lights were BIG jonboats lights mounted 8-10 ft off water, platform at gunnel height.
