  1. your bow needs to be cased when the outboard is running.
  2. yep, as far as I know its the only blue camo bowfishing boat in MN.
  3. eary season find the warmest water. most of the time that will be bays on the north side of the lake. Use the DNR lake finder to find lakes that have rough fish in your area.
  4. From what I heard it is illegal because most of the lake is within a county that has a ordinance about discharging weapon. I think there are a couple bays that are leagle to bowfish on the far west side. Its too bad, i hear there are some monster carp in there.
  5. The hours will be 9am-5pm. .... Muzzy pro staff with be there also.
  6. TTT I heard that there is be prostaff'ers from Cajun Archery and AMS, also a few fully rigged bowfishing boats.
  7. I would recomend the AMS Fish Hawk Bow. This bow has a 30-40# draw weight and 15"-30" draw length. I dont know how old your kids are but they would be able to grow with this bow, adults can shoot this bow. In a catalog Im looking at right now, its priced at $238. This bow has been out for a couple years and I never heard of problems with this bow also AMS is very good a standing behind there products. Reminder, there is a bowfishing day at the Rogers Cabelas on the 18th of april.
  8. it is legal to bowfish rough fish through the ice but you can not posses any spearing equipment with you.

  10. May 1st will be here before you know it. Hopefully we will have open water this year by opener. Last year our lakes were still hard up north.
  11. to my above post search bowfishing extreme.
  12. If you can, draw back on the barracuda first to see if you like it. because of there short axle to axle, they have a lot of finger pinch. some guys love cuda's some guys hate'em. Unless your going to shoot with a release, then it wont matter. Most people who are new to bowfishing that i have taken out, start out with useing a release. By the end of the day, they are shooting with fingers. Realeases tend to get in the way. A pair of No Glovs work very well when shooting fingers. But there are guys that prefere shooting with realeases so you will find out what work best for you.
  13. I was unable to attend the hearing at the state capital. For those that don't know, Wednesday night the LLBA had a meeting with the Senate hearing committee and it went very well. Next the LLBA will have a meeting with the House hearing committee on Monday, the 6th. Things are looking positive for the chance to continue in the process. Keep getting additional people to send the petition. We were asked to stop the emails and that the committees have very much heard the support! It is working so keep'em coming.
  14. Recurves will work very well for bowfishing. The heigher the poundage the better. Go to this HSOforum and look under the reel seat section, idem #264. This is a mounting bracket for recuve bows to use with reels. [Note from admin: Please read forum policy before posting again. Thank you.]
  15. thanks for taking the time you guys. Maybe forward the link to everyone you know.
