Green Heron from yesterday afternoon

My wife and I were on our way home yesterday from the twin cities when she said, "Hey! two King Fishers in that tree". I pulled over and readied my equipment and made my way over to them but was caught in the act. I followed one down to some small trees and brush overhanging the lake and then noticed this guy

Better take a break

I wish that I could have stayed longer and caught him feeding but with the wife waiting I just had to leave it be

MM. I use an AIS 400mm f2.8 ED manual focus lens and use a 2x Teleconverter. And if it's bright enough I will sometimes use a Circular Polarizing Filter to boot.
