analyzer
Well, this worked for the last guy so who knows.I live in North Oakdale. Last night between 2am and 4am someone stole my truck.2000 Dodge Dakota Quad CabBlack, with red door print on the front doors, no writing on the rear tailgate.Matching black leer topper. It had a ladder rack built out of pvc wrapped in black duct tape.Last night it had a 28' orange extension ladder on it.It also had Comcast magnets on the sides. It's a 4 door, the rear window on the driver side is mostly likely broken. If you have any information or see this vehicle please contact me here.I will be watching craig's list for the ladder.Thank youGarrett. rockman
Garrett, can you post the license plate number of the truck? I only assume that you are upset, so I will just throw this in as a reminder that if folks see this vehicle, call 911 immediately. And then send Garrett an email, or post a reply here.Sorry to hear that happened to you.Hope someone sees the truck, and helps you out. analyzer
UVT 813Thank you.BTW, the ladder is Fiberglass, and has hooks on the top for the cable lines off the telephone pole. The orange rails are marked with black down each side, from where they rubbed on the black duck tape. The truck is also identifiable in the following ways.3 piece bug screen above each headlight and hood.the lower valance on the front is unpainted and has no fog lights... we replaced it when it was damaged.Black painted bumper not chrome. Sport model as I recall. However, most(if not all) 2000 Quad cabs 4x4's in black have silver print not RED on the doors.

john.wells
That's awful! I don't think they would let me print what I would like to do to people who do things like that. I will keep my eyes peeled!
analyzer
The sad thing is, and it is really bugging me, I was up until 2:30 on the computer. I can see the front sidewalk, but not the driveway from my computer. I was up at 1:00 am when my son came home, and left again, and I was still up when he came home at 2:00. He says it was there then.I didn't sleep at all last night. I lay in bed tossing and turning. If I had found a little something more interesting on the internet at that time, I may have been up long enough to catch them in the act.argggggg.Right out of my driveway... and it's been a quiet neighborhood for the most part, in my 9 years here.I just can't see stealing a truck with a ladder on top, and comcast on the sides, it's like stealing a firetruck. Balls man.The worst part is, they may have gotten a spare set of keys to my house, and other vehicles. I'm changing the locks on the house, but am tempted to leave my other vehicles out in the driveway and set up shop on the neighbors deck.I just got my buck mount back, I think there's room for a couple more heads on that wall: )
Matt C
Sorry to hear man. Taking a mans truck is worse than taking a mans wife.Keep that 30/30 on duty.
Sandmannd
That's harsh. I'll keep my eyes out for it. I hope it turns up like the last guy that had one stolen on here.
Iambjm
Makes me think I should take pictures of my 2 vehicles and distinguishing marks (such as the dents my hubby put in the truck when he backed over a sign). So dang scary when one works so hard to buy something nice for themselves and then some creep comes along and steals it. When we moved up here, a couple of the locals said "aw you don't have to lock things up". Not this gal, I come from the Twin Cities and I lock everything up!!!! Well maybe except the refrigerator, which I should.

crazyice
You know what is really odd, I live in Rochester, and last early fall, I had the exact same thing happen to me. My Dakota Quad Cab was stolen right out of my drive way as well. I called the cops, and they said that given the information that I provided to them, it sounded like mine was a "professional" job. Skid marks that ended abruptly, like it was drug onto a trailer. I know exactly the feelings you are going through right now. I did end up with a better truck out of the deal, but now I have a long loan again, when the one I had would have been paid off in a year from now. analyzer
That's scary. The neighbors watch em put your truck on a flat bed, and just think it's being repo'd. Brilliant, and balsy... amazing.
crazyice
That's what I thought too. What really sucks, is there was only about a 3 or 4 hour time frame for it to happen. I was up till almost 11 the night before getting a bunch of fishing stuff ready on the tailgate, I put it all in the garage, closed the door, and came back out at a little before 3 to leave, and poof! Gonzo!

SDbowhunter
Thats a bummer I hope the police find it. This forum is turning into a bad news posting board... someone please post pictures of your wifes or girlfriends in swimwear holding big fish. Sorry to hear about that. analyzer
The truck was located in Kansas City. I have already been fairly compensated by State Farm, but it's nice to have resolution I guess.I haven't heard what condition it's in, beyond the fact that the stereo was stolen, and the vehicle was real dusty, as it's been sitting in a parking lot for a while.
