Tisosy,

I heard Ed Farmer and Steve Stone (radio guys) and they did not make it sound like the shot heard round the world, they said it was high enough but were not too sure if it had the legs, luckily for my boys it had just enough. Maybe Delmon was a little tired and didn't make the big leap. Tori would have had that in his glove!

Windy, let's not dwell on one little whistle.gif grand slam days ago. Let's dwell on the one last night. grin.gif Now THAT was a shot!

Oh, by the way, Torii never would have gotten over from center to catch that one.

DonBo,

Were we talking to you? LOL

I was just responding to tisosy. And I might lay some money down on Torii getting over there, he has some wheels. I think he might lap Delmon in a 100 yard dash!

And as for the tater last night you know what they say...

Even a broken watch is right twice a day!

Time for the Tigers to get started. Leland blew up at 'em after Sunday's 11-0 loss. No one is saying what he said, but it had to be about individual accountability. They're all waiting for someone else to do something to turn it around. Plenty of blame to go around - Starters, pen, defense, and hitters.

Dissappointing that Mr. Defense Everett adds to his list of Big E's. With the way Tolbert has been playing, why was Punto batting with the tying run on base? Tolbert is a lefty and Bonderman is a righty. Guerrier was putting it all up the middle when Neshek and Nathan should have been warming up. Gomez is getting himself behind in every count while trying to bunt. I have faith in Gardy but this was one of those rare games when management could have made a difference.

Bad deal to blow not one but two five run leads to the worst batting team in the A.L. Sure hope it isn't a harbinger of things to come.

Gardy can take that loss. Pitchers were sending up beachballs and he wasn't smart enough to bring in a new arm.

He also needs to put Gomez on the bench for a couple games. He's a mess at the plate.

Before calling for everones head, you have to sit back and look at who we were playing, dont look at their record just the players and team in whole! I know we shouldnt have lossed, but Detroit isnt going to be in the bottom of our division, they are a good team.

You knew they were gonna break out, but there is no excuse for losing a 5 run lead twice. Guerrier should have never been given the chance to start the 8th, he was getting rocked the inning before groving fastballs. Neshek didn't do any better. The only strikes he threw were right in the middle of the plate, can't do that against that lineup. Wondering where Crain was?

The bullpen other than Nathan has been pretty bad so far this year, which is a little different from what we are used to. The Twins FO should be grooming some of the arms we have in the minors to fill into those setup roles. Seems to me you get one or two good years out of a reliever before his becomes ineffective.

I surely hope we have not given Detroit their confidence back, because that game should not have been lost.

The twins just do not matchup well with the tigers at all and unless we get them at the right time I can see where we will lose a big percentage of our games with them. It almost seems unfair. We've got three guys in the lineup trying to bunt to get on base and hoping they can steal a base and maybe manufacture a run and they come up with nearly every guy in the lineup a threat to hit the next pitch out of the park.

I know this year is not filled with great expectations but it's kind of frustrating knowing that other than Morneau, there's really nobody in the lineup that the other team might at least somewhat fear a little when he's on deck. Other than him, there's not a single batter that really needs to be pitched around for any reason.
