Guest
The ICE Series is not too far off, ok maybe a little further then I make it sound, but why not start thinking about it now. With all the cold temps and snow, ice fishing is right around the corner. Here are a few details for the ICE Series:The four lakes that we will fish are:Lake Winnibigoshish: January 10-11, 2004.Tourney Headquarters at Denny's Resort.Phone: (888) 665-2298 This lake is famous for walleye, perch, nice pike, crappies, gills and both largemouth/smallmouth bass can be found here. We will fish this lake for hot early ice action. It can be fantastic fishing especially for huge pike, jumbo perch, slab gills and crappies and let's not forget all those walleyes. Mille Lacs Lake: January 24-25, 2004.Tourney Headquarters - Fisher's Resort.Phone : (866) 684-2221This lake is a walleye factory. It looks like the jumbo perch are back. You also have a shot at nice pike. Crappies, gills and both largemouth/smallmouth bass can be found here if you search hard enough.Upper Red Lake: February 21-22, 2004.Tourney Headquarters - West Wind Resort.Phone: 218-647-8998This is one of the top slab crappie producers in the nation. This lake also contains some monster northern pike and lots of pesky perch. Ice Fishing World ChampionshipLake of the Woods: March 13-14, 2004.Tourney Headquarters -Schuster's Resort Phone: (800) 243-2412This is one of the top walleye/sauger producers in the nation. It is truly a multi-specie lake. Plenty of hog pike and muskie available too. This lake can certainly have some of the best fishing to be found anywhere. For more information check out the Iceleaders HSOforum:Iceleaders and the ICE SeriesAsk any questions you might have and I'm sure someone can help you out. Should be a great time and I expect that a lot of fish will be caught. It is pretty inexpensive and the locations are awesome! Not to mention all the fun we will have fishing with fellow FM members and Pro Staff too!I hope to see a lot of you there!Good Fishin,Matt [email protected]Catch-N TackleMarCum[This message has been edited by MJ5 (edited 11-04-2003).][This message has been edited by Rick (edited 11-12-2003).]

Guest
Slow Jigger, Might not be like the Winnie trip we had last year, Yogi sure is an awesome skier Drop me an e-mail and we can car pool to these events. Putting the deck off until spring also gives you a few more bucks for ice fishing Yeah, should be fun this year at the ICE Series. A lot of great lakes. Here's how I invision it...gills the size of my dinner plates at Vermillion...2 pound crappies at Red Lake...a mess of 12 inch perch and a 10 pound walleye at Mille Lacs...and that 14 pound walleye I'm gonna get up on LOW... Come on, let me have my fun. Never know, it could happen Good Fishin,Matt [email protected]Catch-N TackleMarCum

Anyway....I live in Wright County and am the current bearer of the Fishing Minnesota Banner - the big white vinyl one. can it be luck?
$10 dollars covers it all? The contest, prizes, food, everything? Wow, that's decent. I read that there's a deadline for free food. The food comes with the cost if signed up early? As you can tell, I like to eat!! Food cooking on the ice always tastes and smells great!! Now I gotta get a sandwich, that made me hungry! ------------------http://groups.msn.com/canitbeluck
Guest
Ice fishing is fun.Food is fun. Having great food on a fishing trip is even more fun! Great food served up on the ice helps to make a ice fishing trip more than just "a good day fishing". A good "feed" on a fishing trip can top-off a great day! Schweigert is a I.C.E. Series sponsor. Their FULLY COOKED SMOKED BRATWURST holds the title of "Official Product of the ICE Leaders I.C.E Series". I will share how I.C.E Series got them as a sponsor. As I.C.E. director, I went after Schweigert to sponsor these events. I had intended to use their SMOKED BRATWURST at these events... even before hand. I had used their fully cooked Smoked Bratwurst at many prior fishing events... mostly, because they taste GREAT! The brat's texture, the size, and the combination of spices inside... with a touch of lemon juice in the ingredients... have long made this my "top brat" pick... period! I contacted the Schweigert company and told them quite "frank-ly" that hot dogs on ice just "do not cut the mustard"... that actually... nothing beats having a hot Schweigert Smoked Bratwurst "on ice". They listened, and so happens were hep to "brats on ice are nice"! Some of those people at Schwiegert... well, they ice fish too! So... they took the I.C.E. Series on as sponsors. Now.... for those who attend these I.C.E. Series events, it is my privilege to convince you of the same thing I already knew, that a Schwiegert Smoked Brat is "outstanding" on ice... when you are "out standing" on the ice! At the events you'll find the "SSB's" (Schwiegert Smoked Brats) done in many ways...We'll have SSB's boiled, we'll have hot Schweigert brats baked! We'll have SSB's grilled to perfectioncooked over a sunflower heater... stuck on a metal stake. We'll have SSB's swimming in mustard! They'll be on buns covered with sour-crout.You'll cover 'em with onions, pickles, and chili... and eat so many, you will all have to let your belts out! You'll wrap them in buns. You may add a bit of cheese. You might want one to eat alone, all by itself...or just say "cover mine in catsup, please". All the I.C.E. food will served be for FREE.Schwiegert has seen to that, for you and me!You gonna be eat'n great! With a big hot Schwiegert Smoked Bratwurstsittin on your plate! WE HAVE MORE FUN AT FISHING MINNESOTA, that statement is quite true. Thanks loads Schweigert. You have "the best hot brat on ice".You truely do! can it be luck?
Darn you Dave! Now I'm hungry again! I'm glad they weren't serving chop suey, or something like that, brats are complicated enough! I'd be willing to donate my deer for the feed, if anyone likes venison that is. I'm heading to N. Dakota tonight for 5 days, but if there's a possibility that the offer of venison is accepted, it's available for any one of the events. ------------------http://groups.msn.com/canitbeluck
Guest
Dave, You're making me hungry too! Can I get some mustard and kraut on my brat?Custom Jigs and Spins sent in about 400 packs of jigs and other ice fishing gear. We'll give it away at the ICE series. Jarrod32
I am really interested in taking part in a couple of these...particularly the one on Winni. The only thing holding me back is that I will have to either a) stay over night on/near site, or; get up and hit the road around 5:00 in the morning. Not to be a dink, but it might be received better if it began at 8:00 or 8:30 instead of 7:00. Maybe I'm the only one with a problem here. Anyone else struggling with a similar issue?
