FM muskie get-together/lure swap?

Seems like there's alot of talk about something like this lately. Think we could set something up? Say like a Bemidji-Cass Lake area one for the guys up north and a Metro one for the guys down south? We could pick a bar or some place to meet at, have an impromptu lure swap/map marking party. We could then assign boat partners and fish the following day. Anyone think this would work out?

Oh my word. We really should. I have a mountain of lures I could get rid of. Rods too probably. I counted the other day - I think I have more than 100 spinnerbaits. It's a sick deal.

There is usually a swap held at Bebops after the Blaine show each year. I dont know for sure, but I assume it will be held again this year.

Its a great place to get rid of some baits you dont use or need and to pick up some castoffs at a decent price

I, too, am getting the muskie itch big time!!! I've got a new rod/reel combo that I want to get wet and a few lures that need some water time!!!! Plus, I have a few lures that I'd be willing to trade!

It's usually on Saturday evening in the back area of BeBop's. There's lots of good deals and even better trading. Last year there was a fundraiser and you could buy a wrist band that got you barley sodas and pizza.

I'd be down for something, I NEED to go fishing...talk fishing...SOMETHING! I'd be down for scheduling a FM GTG somewhere beyond the sports show. More of a meet and greet and get to know some of you guys. I've probably seen a bunch of you on WBL, FL, BE etc...just too busy catchin all the toothies!! =)

Im exactly in the same shoes as you are, JRedig... Now I have a boat for the summer... I definitely will be getting out wayyyyyy more this summer... and will definitely cover more lakes than I did in 2007... I saw something in other forum that there will be a swap meet after the Blaine Expo at Bebops... some guy named Troy apparently is taking care of it... some kind of Muskie Inc sponsored event...

I have the bug pretty bad too. I'm planning on getting to the expo as well but may not be there the night of the swap.
