Whopper Stopper
In the 70's I had the opportunity to take in several Sha Na Na concerts. I still compare all other concerts to those. A group of guys that could not only play, but all were excellent singing talents. The group came dressed for the part and they dished out 110%. They had an energy on stage that made it hard to keep track of what was all going on. Hahaha I bet you didn't expect Sha Na Na. Good rock and roll oldies, in a much simpler time. With a fraternity of fans that not only refuse to let go but offered something that has been lost over the years. Appreciation and respect. setterguy
Pearl Jam at 1st Ave in 92. Right before Alive hit the radio. Eddie Vedder was crawling around up in the catwalk/ceiling area. I thought to myself, these guys are awesome, but too crazy to make it big. I guess I was wrong.
Hugo
RU,Man I've seen some good ones:Zeppelin in the late 70's at the Civic center, can't remember the exact year..after all it was the 70's...Tool was awefully good last year at the X.Hugo
PDXFisher
Fishbone and Living Color in '88 at the Pine St. Theater in Portland. Nirvana at Satyricon in Portland New Year's Eve in '91 (when he met Courtney Love). Everyone in that little room knew those guys were destined for big things (though I still liked Soundgarden more).Lately, Jamie Lidell at the Doug Fir. If you get a chance to see that guy, go, it's a great show.Of course, every single Ministry and Skinny Puppy show I have ever seen belongs at the top of my list. This year is your last chance to see Ministry, they're hanging it up.

Nick Kuhn
Hugo,Tool was good at the X but I thought the Target Center show the year before was better. I think the set was a good 4 or 5 songs longer, and they had a cooler stage for visual effects. That was my favorite.

HugoBox
Jay R - I also saw Wallace Hartley a bunch of times. I was going to school up there in those years. I also saw them play a few house parties in Fargo when they went by Inertia. We also saw Kid Johnny Lange play there a bunch of times. Rumor has it Aerosmith even jammed at Kirby's one night when they were in town for a concert. I wasn't there for that one though so I can't confirm it. Best concert for me was The Tragically Hip at the Minnestoa Zoo somewhere around 1999.-erik

HugoBox
When I saw them they were just a college garage band that played local bars in Fargo/Moorhead - certainly not the Stones or anything but they always put on a good show. Th $2 beers probably helped as well!!

Jay R
HugoBoxHow could I forget Jonny Lang, saw him play too we was awesome and at the time 14-15yrs old. Great thing about Wallace Hartley was the fact the had a horn section dont see that very often and yes cheap beer helps make bands sound great, me seem smarter and girls a whole lot better looking..... but those are stories for another dayI was a barkeep at Mick's in moorhead for a few years in the mid 90's so i had heard the Aerosmith rumor and best i can say is that it's true. I aslo learned more about Walleye fishing during my time at Micks, there were some real fish heads that were the hard core regular crowdJ
