So Where Does A Guy Get....

So where does a guy get a NICE set of Registration Numbers for a boat? The simple ones from FF or the hardware store just aren't going to cut it for me.

Try to find a local decal or sign maker. They can whip out a set in no time and they're usually fairly affordable. I had the sign guy in town make mine for a twenty dollar bill. He had all kinds of different styles and colors to choose from.

Nelson Marine in White Bear has a machine right in the shop, don't have to wait. I just had them do a set for me this fall and they look great. I think they were 25 bucks.

Pretty much any auto body shop would be able to get them for you too. They might have to order them, but they could get them from the some companies that get their decals or graphics for cars.

I went with a company called lettertech. Lots of variety, multiple color options and layouts. I was able to match the style and outlining of the letters for my boat....love it.

Price is around $25 or so...

Any sign shop that has a vinyl graphics printer, which is about all of them. Have the size and color scheme you want and they can print it out while you wait.

I have used Lettertech as well on the last couple of boats. I agree on the quality and choices, most any thing you want.

Another vote for lettertech. You will be able to match the font and colors already on your boat.

If you do a search on the internet for vinyl letters or signs you can find a number of places where you can design your own set right on their HSOforum and then have them make them for you. A couple years ago I purchased a new PWC that needed the letters. I designed them myself and had them in 4 days. I believe the set of 2 cost $29 delivered. Unfortunately I don't remeber the name of the place I used.

I am sure Lettertech does a great job too. This is just an if you are a do it yourselfer and have a creative side to you.
