Are the 1/16oz Glow Devils available yet ?

I saw mention in an earlier string about Glow Devils that Jeff's coming out with a 1/16oz version of the Glow Devils this year. I'd sure like to get a card of the smaller glow version to add to my panfish arsenal
Any update you can share ??

Good Timing, I just emailed Jeff this AM and he said he just finished them. He also has some new colors for 2003/2004 ice season. I think the Lake of the Woods guys are going to be really excited about the new colors. Those 1/16 ounce spoons will be hot, get them while you can!

Yepper I read somewhere on FM here sometime back that they'd have some Gold colored Glow devils, I'll certainly pick up a few though I'm a AE guy myself. Perch AEjr. is right up at the top of my must have in the spoon box spoons, caught 100's of fish on these the past couple ice seasons. Are they changing this Perch scheme {AE's} or just the Glo devil Perch color? I had mentioned to Jeff last winter that I would like to see an inbetween AE....Thats really all I want for Xmas!

I do know for a fact that the Angel Eyes are HOT!!!!

HeHe Angle Eyes
Was on a 3 day fall fishing trip in a remote area of Northern Mn for Walleyes.
Fishing was tough and we tried half a dozen proven methods of taking eyes on this lake. My buddies digging around in the bottom of his tackle box and pulls out an Angle Eye. Well I roll my eyes and continue throwing jigs on a rock pile. He starts vertical jigging the AE and you guessed it "SWINGGGGG" fish on. Well I have AE's in my ice bag but not in my open water selection. After about the 4th fish it wasn't funny anymore.

Jim heres combination. Brass bead/glow devil and that battery operated vibrating jigglestick. Nah it'll never work.

Glow Devils are amoung my top producers last winter for active perch and crappies. Whether it was on Winnie or Mille Lacs, they worked for perch. And as far as crappies go, drop Glow Devil down the hole towards an active school of fish and see what happens, but hold onto the rod Might be that added ingredient for weeding out the bigger fish.

Wowa…This is great to see the responses and wish list!! I would like to thank everyone for all the support and loyalty that has been given to Scenic Tackle products. While Scenic Tackle in not the largest manufacturer out there I want to make it known for only quality fish catching products.

Ok going to try to address everyone’s questions/comments here. Yes the new 1/16th oz Glow Devils are finally done and will begin shipping some time tomorrow. FM does have cards of them ordered and they are shipping tomorrow.

That is something that we are still looking at and I am also putting in my order for
smaller Angel Eyes. Designing the die for this takes some time so probably late season.

As indicated by Derek Johnston, look for the new Rattlin Varmit by JB Lures that are just now hitting the stores. These spoons have the body design of the Glow Devil that has been impregnated with an internal two-bead rattle molded into the body….HOT HOT spoon.

So many people think that Angel Eyes are only for ice fishing. They work great in the boat also as you have seen first hand!! As for your combination of Buzz Rod and rattles. The JB Rattlin Varmit has rattles louder then brass in them but yet not to loud to scare off fish. Only to attract them!!

This one you will like!! With LOW fisherman in mind we just completed and have just began to introduce the new “Gold Backs” Glow/Pink/w/Gold back is one of the colors that is included. This spoon is available in 1/4th oz, 1/8thoz and 1/16th oz. in Glow/Pink, Neon Glow (glows green), Neon Red Glow (glows red), Glow Perch and I have also added the straight gold and the gold red combo that is so well liked in the Angel Eye line up. These spoons are just now being shipped out.

Jig-A-Bits
These jigs feature a #4 Kahl style hook with a wider off set gap that adds to better hook set. This is great dead stick or bobber jig. Available in an assorted card of 12 jigs per card including Gold, Gold/Red, Chart/Orange, Chart/Lime, Glow/Pink, and Neon Red

I also have a couple more tricks up my sleeve and I will let you know what they are and when they are available.

Ok everyone, I've gotta tell you that I have already seen the 'Gold Backs' Jeff will be offering this season! And I have to say that the fish stand absolutely no chance!! Those are going to be HOT!!
You all already know how well the glow devils work, so you can just imagine how well they will work with a touch of Gold!!!

Also the 1/16th oz devils are going to be a HUGE hit!!! I can't wait to try those out this year. The perch on Winnie won't even know what hit 'em!!

I am also very impressed with the Rattlin Varmits by JB lures - you can hear those babies from across the room!!

Keep checking the site for new products offered by Scenic Tackle - like Jeff said, he always has a few NEW tricks up his sleeve!!

The Rattlin Varmint and the jig-a-bits sound like cool additions to your line. Anyone who hasn't tried Scenic Tackle lures is really missing out on some of the best quality lures on the market ! The paint and quality of hooks on the Glow-Devils and the Angel Eyes is the best I've seen. Plus...if you get them here you get them at less than 1/2 the price of buying them individually in tackle stores !!

Jeff...any chance of getting pictures of the new Rattlin-Varmint, Jig-A-Bits, and Angel Eye colors posted ????

Me and a few friends went to LOW at the end of last year. We stopped at a bait shop on the way and I told them all that this is what you need to catch the fish up there( angel eye jr's). They said yeah right and bought some other things and I added a few new colors to my angel eye assortment. They changed their minds after a couple days of me catching three fish to their 1. My pink amd my perch have no paint on them anymore from that trip. We stopped at that same baitshop on the way back and this time they listened to me. By far the best lure in my box. Keep up the good work, Jeff.

Are the Perch colored AE jr's being changed as well or just the Glo Devils?

Northlander, I have doctored a few straight gold AE's with paint with great results up here. I think you're out near L.Superior and may be familiar with one combo I think is called 'green dolphin' by the trout/salmon crowd??? A foresty kinda green along one convex edge and Flo pink along the other. Also either Flo orange or Flo pink along about a 1/3 of the convex edge can be most deadly.

Oh Oh, too much information, LOTW may be fished out this winter!!!
