Shuttles start at 9am. There will be a constant flow of buses and you shouldn't have to wait more than a couple of minutes.

How do the shuttles handle all the gear?

If its anything like the Extravaganza you are on school buses and its a real trick to get your sleds and gear in. Also - no propane tanks on the shuttle i would assume.

I would recomend parking somewhere close enough to the lake where you can still walk to the tournament site...Don't think I would assume if you got there early enough you could park somewhere on the ice and prefish until you wanted to head over to the tournament area...

Better get there early!!!! I fished the old contest and parking in town was terrible.Your best bet is to have someone drop you off,and pick you up when you are done.And then buy {her} a nice romantic dinner[worked for me] :-}

they only thing that i feel bad about on these tourneys is the poor souls that get recruited to drill all those holes... i bet there is no strength left in those arms when they are done thats for sure.

We got a bunch of teen-aged Forest Lake baseball players recruited for the drilling. I believe their coaches and parents are supervising. Can't tell you how much we appreciate it !! They'll be out there at 5 am...

Drill in the morning at 5 AM. I would bring a chisle though to keep it open. Might freeze alittle by Noon.

tisosy11... The holes start getting drilled at 5 am, Sat morning. I'm guessing the chisel at the end of a scooper probably would do the job. But, if it's not inconvenient, might wish to bring the chisel, just in case.

Campout sounds like fun but are they allowing people to drive and setup outside the event area?

I would assume you can drive on the lake, just not in close proximity to the event...100 yards?

I am no authority but that would be my guess.

mud... We don't have much of a say outside the event area. I hope you're camping in something with hardsides though 'cuz they're saying it'll be chilly that night prior. But 30 DEGREES the day of !!

tis... You're right on w/the 100 yard assumption. That holds for parking the day of the event as well. No parking within 100 yards of the event. Not sure when the Lake 1 access will be closing...perhaps Friday late, or early Sat morning...

So i figured i would start off the weekend tonight seeing as i cant wait to get out onto the ice on sat. I will be giving rides around the lake on my NEW truck after i win it that is. i will be charging 5 bucks to pay for the taxes on it but all are welcome to jump on, it will be fun. Anyone else staying at the country in and suites in Forest Lake???
