There are going to be a few options for us here. Hanson spent a great deal of time designing a real nice logo for a hat, the downside is the cost of a custom logo.

I've also managed to arrange a great deal on some HSO/FM logo hats for the first 30 people.

So here's your chance, make your choice

Have you taken a glance at the URL above?

Just giving people options. That, and it's a good deal.

It was discussed that we might be able to modify the Walleye HSO logo with a Cat outline.

I voted once already but I'll be taking 2 of the custom KOTC hats.

Darren and I have argued back and forth on the design and I think we both have come to an agreement. I would post the logo but I really don't want to let the "cat" out of the bag just yet. grin.gif

The paper control item I'm sure will be just fine this year as well. But I can't believe how many people last year failed to have a control item with them when they needed it. Look through the photos... lots of impromptu, make-shift control items were created last year. grin.gif At least with a hat, its on your head. At least with me, there is always a hat on my head.

I think I'm going to get "Snakes & Sparklers" stitched on the side of my hat too! LOL!

Voting for both was not an option, I will be fine with either, but would surely take you up on the first 30 option. That is tough, like chosing, pizza or pasta!!!!!!!! DECISIONS MAN!!!!!!! Could I just have both and eat some lettuce and cottage cheese later, to make me feel better?

I want the hat but if there is a paper control item I will probably make a bunch of those and stash them in the boat and in my tackle bag to just to be on the safe side. Better to have one and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Boy am I itching to chase some flats.

I'd like to have the option of paper also as I'm superstitious and iffin the hat don't have good mojo I won't be wearing it!!!

I'll drop $ into the KOTC hat. Is there an option for custom stitching / embroidery on the hats? Maybe get our FM screen name on there.... I understand it's an extra cost and it might be a nightmare to take orders, but.... it would be cool

I voted for the KOTC hat , and still would like the option of a paper control item in case the hat gets donated to the river gods as I have lost several in the past couple of years.

One nice thing about having your own hat is that since you have to "buy" a label design, it's yours to use again without the extra charge. I did the same thing for the BPCL.If I decide to get hats or shirts this year from a different supplier, I can take the design with me. I made sure that the design fee was in the final bill of sale the first time around, therefore keeping the costs down on future purchases.

Well, it looks like we have a clear winner.

I would like to get this rolling asap so the hats will be done for us in time.

The $21 dollar quote is based on 30 hats.

I ‘m going to go ahead a put a Feb 29th deadline to receive all payments from you. That gives a full two weeks and then a month to make the hats, for an anticipated April 1 start date.

Paypal would be the easiest route for me. You can make the payment to account Darren Troseth (at) Comcast (daht) net. If you would rather send a check please email me at the address in my signature and I will provide a mailing address.

Also, the hat will NOT be required, only recommended. We will use a paper version of the logo for a backup control item or for those that will not be able to purchase a hat.

If there are others that might not have seen this and might be interested (still in hibernation) please forward this info to them.

I want to make a few final tweaks to that logo Darren before they start stitching on it. I'll make sure the "Date" is not part of the main logo is we can re-use the logo with a different date for next year. That'll eliminate the digitizing fee for the logo and cut the price down significantly for next year.
