That ^above^ is why no matter who wins the Daytona 500 or how many wins any driver has at the 500, I just don't care. It flat out is not that great of an accomplishment anymore in my opinion if a bum driver like MW can win it. To me its just another race.

Fact is. the r-plate tracks can be a [PoorWordUsage] shoot. Just ask us Fantasy Nascar Players. Everybody Hates picking these races because anything can happen.

A win is a win, but a D500 win doesn't cement your name in the books a a great driver in my opinion. Does anyone agree? let me hear it.

it doesnt mean your a great driver.but it does cement your name in the books.its the biggest race of the season.you watch next sunday they always mention the the drivers that have won this great american race.

Derick Cope a great driver? I don't think so, yet he beat one of the best and won his only cup race at Daytona.

How about when Mike WALLACE won his Busch race at Daytona. Had a hard time with his gloating over being "in position" to win. Never mind the leaders all crashing out and clearing the way.

Mike Waltrip, on the other hand, is about my favorite least likely to win racer out there. I like his commentary.

And as far as him "selling out" to the Yotes.... They were coming anyway and Mike hadn't had a decent ride for quite awhile. Good to see him in some quality equipment again.
