wazz
It seems kinda strange to me, with this Pheasants Forever group, pushing conservation and saving habitat. Planting for pheasants, if you really wanted them forever, maybe stop shooting them. Shouldn't it really be called Pheasants for us to shoot?Just seems kinda strange. Craig Plummer
haha...The goal is to selectively shoot them. raise and maintain certain populations
lawdog
Wazz, what's with the trolling???? Pheasants Forever and other sporting organizations like them and us hunters that fund them have done more for wildlife than any other group including all the bird watcher groups put together. fishwithteeth
If you are not kidding:It's all about habitat - and not just for pheasants. Many species from songbirds to fish to humans benefit from the work PF does with habitat. As for hunting the birds, or any other wildlife, hunters take the surplus. They take what the habitat or arrangement cannot hold or sustain. Without the work of groups like PF, MN Waterfowl, DU, TU, the list goes on, there would be less wildlife today, even if we stopped hunting all-together. Powerstroke
If you've looked at wazz's other posts you see that he is a hunter. His post was not "anti-" in any way. It sounds like its just a question of definitions.Like anything, if left unchecked they will get out of hand and if there is no conservation efforts, they will not survive in any considerable numbers.
