Question for the ladies

hehehehehe, you said it Tami! Doesn't matter if you squat or stand, in the past week or so, It is a dreaded fact of nature! Thank God I still have a strong prostrate to keep a fast paced empty of the tank!!!!!

I must say, I have seen many topics here and this one is one of the simple reasons this place is great. You can ask a simple and genuine question and get REAL responses!!!

I, myself, would never go in a boat. So, I do not expect my wife to either.

I am a farm boy, but I guess "doing my business" is a private thing for me.

If my wife has to go...we head for the nearest place that is comfortable. Me, I don't usually have to worry about it unless I have been drinking a lot. Otherwise, I head in too for a few minutes.

If you wife, son, daughter whatever wants to head in...don't get mad or force them to use some other way. If they are uncomfortable...take them in.

I had a buddy that always expect me to go in the boat and wouldn't take me in. Well, I don't fish with him anymore. Your wife and kids may decide the same thing.

It's not a dumb question but it is a strange one. I'm still having a tough time believing that you're serious in asking it.

With all due respect, the females in my life (mother, wife, daughter, female officers, friends, etc.) have been able to do their thing under all kinds of situations without my interference.

It is entirely different. 99% of the time on a road, there will be a bathroom within a reasonable amount of time. My wife is fine with a bucket, so is my youngest. My other two daughters are still having issues, and as far as the oldest one goes, the potty problem is starting to keep her from going fishing with me. Once again, I am quite serious with my question. I am just trying to be a better and more understanding dad/husband, and enjoy the outdoors with the rest of my all female family.

Its great that you are being respectful cool.gif. But, and I hate to be the turd on the seat here, sick.gif but - to all the women out there - YOU'VE GOT GET OVER IT \:\/ if you want to play, you've got to adap and get creative. the women need to figure out a solution that they are comfortable with. come on ladies take care of yourselves. ;\)

sorry for the ranting whistle.gif- just some personnal thoughts. And since I'm a lady I can complain about us. LOL \:D

I know its mostly guys posting here, so we aren't hearing the ladies version. And its great that you guys are so concerned about this, but the women themselves really need to think of a solution that is comfortable for them indiviually.

There are many options out there, as the posts represent, and there is ALWAYS a solution to every problem, and every solution can always be improved uponed. Sooooo - lets keep talking \:D

I agree with you. I have been saying that for years, and have only recently decided to try and deal with it (getting sick of losing fishing time due to potty issues). I keep getting the same excuse from them "you are equipped for going outside", or "cold junk is better than a cold bottom". I have shared all the points brought up in this post with the ladies in my life, and I guess if they don't want to try them, then too bad.

If this helps Wal~mart has a "multi purpose room" for $30 which is perfect, and if she dosent like the idea of a "bucket" you can also pick up a portable potty which will fit inside nicely. They have nice potties ranging from $95-$115 and not so cute ones for about $30+-.

( Note from Admin, please read forum policy before posting again,Thank-you. )

You go girl! I used to have many acres of land in the mountains and many (to many to count) times I have had to take care of business squatting by a tree, I've stopped on the side of the road etc. When I gotta go, modesty jumps out the window. and sorry to whoever happens to pass by.

We have a group of women that fish together. None of us would dream of losing any fishing time for a potty break. I grew up fishing with my dad, and learned quickly the art of peeing over the edge. The bottomless bucket for ice is new to me, but sounds doable. We carry a 5-gal with seat that is decorated and says "Crapper for a Queen". This way we know not to use it for minnows. \:\)

This is hilarious! I have long since solved my potty issues with a handy plastic coffee can, but I have to admit to having issues in the beginning until my fishing partner put a stop to that. To much time wasted going in and out of shore. Whenever I go out with a guide we make sure that if they do not have a pee bucket we bring our own. The biggest thing I think is to talk about it with the " girls" before you go out and make sure they are ok with any solution. It is also Murphy's law that as soon as you get it all together to pee you will get a bite! During our annual WAM tournament it never fails that as soon as I get down to peeing the boat taking pictures comes trolling along....
