Redwing Eagles

Recommended Posts

Well we had a great day down in Redwing today. There were quite a few eagles around although most of them kept there distance. My buddy and I met up with X for lunch (I don't care what you guys say, he's a great guy! \:D:D). I got a bunch of eagle shots and lots of ducks. Here are the first few that went through PP.

This was through the fog so it's a little, well, foggy

I'm sure there will be more to come along with some fish eating mallards.

It's a post processing technique that people use to reduce haze in images. It's using particular settings in the Unsharp Mask tool in Photoshop or Elements. If you google Local Contrast USM or Local Contrast Unsharp Mask you'll find a couple of links that go through it step by step and explain it far better than I could.
