Snow Bunnies

I took a ride on the atv today to look for some critters. I can almost always count on some snowshoe hare shots and usually a porcupine or two on the mine dumps outside of Hibbing. I saw quite a few hares, but no porkys. I did find where one is denning up for the winter and eating some jack pines so if I go back I should run into it eventually.

Nice ones, Jay. I like the first one best. It's so nicely tucked up into its protected little depression and kind of mysterious in the blue shadows of the snow.

We've got a bunch of hares in the woods/shrubs behind our back yard, and they are a great subject to photograph even on those dark winter days.

I like #1 the best. Nice job! I've seen more snowshoe's this year than I have seen for a long time. Less predators?

Nice Bunnies! I've seen a couple Jack Rabbits down here but never a Snowshoe Hare. They are pretty neat.
