Wow I had no Idea that this would be talked about on this HSOforum. I am also an avid COD4 player. Level 9 prestige and working on the golden guns. I have the Draganov and after a couple more nights should have the AK47. I am starting to get in to the Gamebattles clan wars with some guys that picked me up becuase I was singlehandedly kicking them. One thing you almost always need on this is good teammates that can runa good stragey.

COD4 is also the first game that is Personally customizeable. I love it for that. With certain maps being set up certain ways you can run and gun, if thats not working you can switch to match what the enemy is doing.

Just for giggles what are some of ya'lls stats, gamertags, and favorite maps. If I don't have alot of people on-line I am always looking for players to join up with. It's just more fun with a good group of guys.

SgtWhiteFeather is my tag for XBOX 360 and no I am not Indian!!!dammit, for some reason all these kids that finally got off Halo 3 that don't shut up like to think that I am Indian and won't shut up about it. Anyways my tag is about a marine sniper in Vietnam, Gunny Hathcock, he had like 35 confirmed kills and started the Marine Sniper unit. The Viet-lights named him LongTrang, meaning WhiteFeather for the white bird feather he kept in the rim of his hat. It was also a great read for a book. 'Marine Sniper' I think was the name of it.

I would rather not talk about my game time. When it gets to be winter up here on the North Shore I tend to run out of things to do. So instead of sitting at the bar I am behind the bar or in front of my TV. I love to fish and hunt don't get my wrong. But when it's -20 to -10 with 20-30mph winds I would rather sit in front of the TV. So I can say my game time is high. But I only have about 1 months left of that and then it is getting shut off for 4-5 months through the summer. Golf Softball Fishing Paintball all take over.

I agree, Creek looks great...especially if you're into sniping. Looks like a lot of "one shot, one kill" opportunities there.

The TV station should be a good one too. If you've played the single player campaign you may have been on that level. A little bit of outside/inside to work with.

Sorry to butt in, but I have a question. This game has alot of attention, it must be very good. I haven't played any of them. I don't have live, but can a person just play the 4th edition and know what is going on, or is it a game like Halo, where it's best to start with Halo, then Halo2, and on to Halo 3?? Half Life has a story to it also, and I thought it was best to start with the first one and work through.

No, COD4 is an all new storyline. Up until now Call of Duty has been about WWII, and it has progressed into what is now a "Modern Warfare" game.

Games for the most part have progressively gotten better and better, and as of now, this one stands above the rest as far as shooters go. Single player is very good, but the Live side of it is where all the fun is at for me.

I had fun playing with Meaney and Jp here latly. Don't worry about Defiant though. Don't get me wrong I like to complain and #itch alot, but that's because I am getting my head shot off from noobs when I am out in front running an gunning all the time. For him it's because he watches the guy take my head off and then he plinks them with a sniper round, they watch the kill cam and then come in from behind him. Anytime you guys are on leave me a message to invite you. I always have 4-5 guys on with me.

These new maps are going to up my interest more.

We play a lot of Team Hardcore thus eliminating the kill cams.

Harcore has it's perks. but it is all about the first 30 seconds of the game. If you can get set up in a corner of the map it's prolly the most fun to play. I played a game the other night and I went 38-3 on back lot. I got into my corner set up my claymores got my first five, called the airstrike got my heelo. Ran out got shot. Went into my corner called in the heelo. Got seven, ran out got shot. In the end I called in three heelo's three airstrikes and just demolished the other team. With out even really coming out of my corner. Next time on that map, I didn't get set up and 14-16. Overall hardcore camping is about all that comes out of it. Not consistent enough.

But at the same time I don't have to worry about getting shot by a red tiger, red dot m16 everytime I turn the corner. When I am using an mp44 working on my head shots.

Can you customize your character's appearance in COD as far as skin tone, etc? Or is it just random for every map you play?

No, I think they were talking about adding that to the new map mods but not sure if it is part of the package or not. I know I would love to be able to customize my character. or wouldnt it be cool if you could download a picture of yourself and customize it to look like you... like you are able to in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

I'm pretty sure you can do that in RB6. You need the 360 camera.

I remember guys running around with celebrity faces that they used a cutout for the camera detection part. Every once in awhile you would see Ronald Mcdonald, or Charles Manson, or Hank Hill

LOL. Nah, I just noticed one time that I died that my skin was a little darker than it should be....ok, more than a little.

I just read that the new map pack will be available next Thursday. They are also releasing a COD4 "Game of the Year Edition" which includes the new maps as well.
