Get rid of Jackson

I know its only halftime and its early in the season and he is young, but I am sick of Tavaris Jackson missing short throws to wide open receivers for what could be big plays. There were several throws in the first half of this game that I could of easily completed and I'm built like a lineman. Jackson is making me with we still had Cullpepper. Maybe they can get Randall Cunningham or Brad Johnson to come back. I would like to see them bench Jackson and put Holcomb or even Brooks Bollinger into the game. They should be winning this game, but not with the ugliness we are seeing at QB. It's frusterating to watch. Rant over. Now you have my opinion.

I'm sick of him missing those throws when he's wide open to run 5 yards for the 1st down, yet he forces a throw into a receiver 2' away from him. Frustrating. Run Tavaris! Run! grin.gif

At least 3 balls that should have been caught.

Like when he drilled Williamson in the numbers early on in the game. Cripes man! He did redeam himself with that "I can't believe he caught that!" touchdown but you still have to catch those short ones.

What are you talking about it's just a "rebuilding year"....for pack of years. Of course you wonder if they would have taken Quinn in the first round instead of All Day what would have happened.....I guess if our record holds we should have about the #5-7 pick again this season.

He is a rookie and you expect him to be the next Tom Brady? Get real, it won't happen. Jackson needs atleast another full season to become a good QB, which I believe we have that time, since the vikings are rebuilding, atleast on offense. Why would we waste our time with putting in journeymen like Holcomb and Bollinger?

Just sit back and enjoy Adrian Peterson.

I think someone had suggested earlier that they should just hike the ball directly to Adrian Peterson. That may be a strategy that would pan out better grin.gif

I can't totally blame T-Jack. Throwing to the likes of Butterfingers Williamson doesn't help his stats much. Look on the bright side, when T-Jack guns 'em into the turf they can't be intercepted grin.gif

Just a note on the Vikes QB's this year compared to other QB's at college and pro levels.... Jackson and the Holcomb take way too much time getting from center back into the pocket. It really is noticable if you look at it. Check out Romo and how fast he gets back into a pocket on passing plays. Jackson needs to get back faster for himself to have more time to look for a open receiver. The game Jackson got really beat up in (lions I think) it was unreal how long it took for him to get back into a comfortable passing position.-- and he got beat up pretty bad.

Just something I have seen,

Mud
