Another option would be a Browning BPS. That's what I shot when I switched from Right to left. Great gun! I think I paid a little more than 300 but I bought it 13 years ago and still shoot it.

There are lefty 870's in Gander and Cabela's, but they are going for a tad more than that.

I've had my 870 WIngmaster lefty for 30 years - I love it. I just found a new 26 inch barrel with remchokes for it for 50 bucks - unbelievable.

if you buy the browning bps you don't have to worry if you are ever going to get rid of it. it is a good gun I have two. I have a auto that I mainly use now but I won't give up the bps's.

The BPS is a great gun in that it doesn't matter if you are left or right it works for either. They are more than $300 normally. They are usually in the 400-500 range depending what you get. But they are well worth it a browning has never let me down.

I shoot a regular mossberg 835 ulti mag left handed without any problems. The main issue for me is the location of the safety for quick shots. I like the thumb safety. The shell ejecting across my feild of vision does not bother me at all. The main thing is getting a comfortable gun for you to shoot!

I've been shooting a BPS for what seems like forever. Bottom eject, top tang safety. John Browning did himself proud. I love mine.
