Fighting Marker Buoys

Has anyone noticed the remarkable similarities in the fighting abilities of a well hooked Marker Buoy and a small walleye? No particular reason, just asking.

Mark you have to quit getting so close to them markers. You would think with that pink line you use you would know where it was.

Whens a good time to come up for a couple days this fall?

I've found them hard to fillet and they dull the knife quickly.

Remember to practice selective harvest on these beauties. The quality of the resource depends on it.

Really I wouldn't recommend keeping any though, they don't taste all that great, the meat is tough and kind of stringy.

I keep all of the marker bouys I catch. IMO they dont deserve to fight another day.

The fight is good but they don't seem to fry up as well.

I snagged a beauty trolling a reef runner in about 30 fow. We had to back up so I could gain on him, then he had the guts to wrap himself in the prop. We had a good laugh to say the least.
