Samsquantch sighting!

Last month Honky Kong and Dozer42 was treated to the rare but scary sighting of the elusive Minnesota River Albino Speedo Wearing Samsquantch! Look how after being startled by the boat it makes for the cover of the weeds.

Things are better at Leech Lake acccording to the latest CO report....

After recent discussion about wearing life jackets while tubing, it was encouraging to note that one couple on Leech Lake was safety minded. Even though they did not have any other clothing on, the person being pulled on the tube was at least wearing her life jacket.

I think I know who this is! Is this between henderson and lesueur, by a creek that comes into the river?

nope it was back towards st peter a little bit. it was just like the videos you see. he spotted us and b-lined it straight into the thicket. i don't enjoy walking through that stuff in jeans let alone in a banana hammock. the strangest thing i've seen on the river in a long time.

he didn't hear us, we were tied up to some logs. sitting there quiet. he just was walking assuming he was alone then realized we were sitting there. i'd head for cover too. it's just i wouldn't be out walking sandbars in speedos to begin with
