I wonder how the Bise will react to last years devastating loss to the Gophers a loss that will haunt the Dakotans and the select few faithfuls who follow them forever.... LMITOUT
That's a couple things that Minnesotans will never understand...faithful and loyal. More like, what have you done for me lately. I wonder how the Big 10 Goofs will do this year after almost being embarrassed by a Division 1-AA team AT HOME. Actually I don't think it was "almost" embarrassed, it WAS embarrassed. Mudcutter
the bison played tough and should have won, but didn't. The game to watch this year is Northern Iowa at ISU. Watch and See. ISU falls to a D2 school for the first time ever at home. That's the pathetic thing, at home. Northern Iowa is loaded.
fishin58
just remember that the TURD of the coach the Goph's had last year. I am looking for a whole new ballgame.
LMITOUT
That Iowa matchup should be a good one too. I've heard that the 'U' doesn't want to play NDSU, or teams of that caliber, in the future because they'd rather play more mainstream D1 teams like the Texas', Miami's, OSU's do. That of course is Brewster talking big now since he's playing with a schedule created by Mason, but we'll see. I can't understand why they would want to play teams that are any tougher since those cupcake wins are what essentially get them into pointless bowl games at the end of the year. Get all their cheap wins in early and then struggle through the Big 10 schedule....that was the M.O. of the prior regime. I have to say that I'm happy for those 'U' fans that they got some new blood at the helm. Mason was a joke and there was no hope for him.Good luck this year! papabear
Has brewster started reminiscing back to the good old days when the Gophers where a top team. I of course was not alive yet. I do remember the Thundering Herd being a top team in D2 for years under coach Rocky.
caseymcq
Quote: And the menu is Gopher! Some more fiber in this guys diet would help with that look on his face. If I wasn't loyal and faithful I wouldn't still be a BSU(that is THE Bemidji State University) or U of M fan.

james_walleye
Anyone following the gopher program these days is very faithfull and loyal. There isnt much of a bandwagon too be jumping on right now.
Scott M
The "Gopher Nation" bandwagon has priority and business class seating now available. No blackouts, all forms of payment accepted Having Mason coach the Gophers was a real handicap for the Bison. Now that they don't have that card to play I don't expect as close a game. No disrepect, ND is a good team in their own right with a great coach, but that was the rock bottom part of the season for the gophs last year. If this "rivalry" continues for a few years, I expect the margin of victory to cleave further and further apart to match division 2 or 1AA vs. 1A
