Ya got off to a fast start but it is time I was catching up.

A 36

A 27-Not a monster but he broke off from my friend

2 nights earlier and I got my hook back

A 43 fishing alone.

A 41 fishing alone

a 37

Another 43

A 30

My guests get to catch the first bite and sometimes that is all the bites there are. So far my guests have caught a 53-48-45-37-35-45.

When this spawn is finished maybe I can get some decent flathead fishing in.

Katchaser, do you do your fishing around the Marion area? If so, I guess it might not be all that bad moving to Ohio! My wife is from Findlay, Ohio (just to the west of you I believe)and would love to move back there one day, but I told her I wouldn't move there unless there was good fishing near by!

I have had a slow year this year no bigguns for me. But I have caught my share.

Actually that fish just finished spawning and wore the skin off while fanning eggs. They often have nests under submerged timber and wear the skin off while protecting and fanning the eggs. You will see similar scars on most dominant males.

That 48 pound cat was released.

This 48 pounder caught Aug 16 was also released.
