Deitz Dittrich
Ok... This is the best I can do Cent Bass...Its worth a shot...This is the knot I tie for quite a bit of my fishing. I was goofing aroundone day passing time the night before a tournament and came up with this. I can not remember a knot failure since I started to tie it. Double the line over like you would a Palomar knot. Step #2 grab all ends and twist the line 3-4 times. Step #3 Pass the loop through the gap between the first twist and the hook eye, like you would in an improved clinch knot. Step #4 Pass the loop over the lure. I do not tie this knot on spinnerbaits or crankbaits as the time it takes is not worth it trying to pass the loop over the lure. Step #5 Bring the loop all the way around to the line. Step #6, this is the one that takes the most practice. Pull your two tag ends at the same time while holding the loops of line. You want to pull it tight away from the hook eye first. Last step. Pull your main line to snug it down to your hook. Done. Any questions?.. LOL

BAIT956
Great job, Deitz. Neat knot. I don't know that I will ever use it because the Palomar is so much simpler to tie and has never failed me, but still, it looks like the Deitz knot would do a fine job. It must be easy to get it right because I did the first try.

Deitz Dittrich
IT does look like Ole Joe and I are using the same knot. Hmmm I dont remember showing it to him LMAO! Been tieing it like this for about 10-12 years now?... ok.. lets call it a power knot. JPZ- it is a doubled improved clinch knot.. but then your tag loop is then pulled over the lure to lock it. Cooter
Its one heck of a knot - no worries with that baby. I do have problems getting it to cinch down nice with heavy 80# braid, maybe I'm putting too many wraps on it. Might have to practice with some old line. Deitz Dittrich
Coots- only do 3-4 twists.. and then the important thing is to pinch the line when you are pulling it taught.. and pull it tight away from the hook.. and be sure to pull on both tag ends equal.. then shore it up to the hook.
